| If You Don't Tell us About the Accident or Speeding Ticket, Maybe we Won't Find Out... |
Not Likely!
All insurance companies have access to state Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs). Companies will run MVRs on all new business and renewal polices. Some companies run MVRs yearly, others run them every 2 years. If you get a ticket, your company will find out about it.
All companies report claim information to national data banks that will have a listing of claims reported and what was paid out. These reports are run for all new business and renewal policies. Reports are also available on your home as well.
So, when you get a questionnaire, or we ask about your driving history, tell us about any problems up front so we can do the best for you. And if you have teenage or young adult children in the house, let them know you and the insurance company will find out eventually, so they might as well tell you when accidents or tickets occur.
