Commercial Auto Policy

DO YOU WORK FOR YOURSELF? USE YOUR CAR FOR MORE THEN COMMUTING TO WORK? YOU MAY NEED TO HAVE A COMMERCIAL AUTO POLICY.

In today’s world there are more and more independent contractors
whom use there personal vehicle for business, but is their personal automobile coverage right for them?

For example, a plumber who has advertising on the side of his truck is driving to a job site, he gets into an accident on his way, he only has a personal auto policy, the other driver he hits is badly injured, can the injured party go after the business? Is there coverage under the personal auto policy?

Chances are there may be some lack in coverage due to the fact that he was traveling for his business, and there is a possibility that the injured person could file a suit against the business.

If you use your vehicle for commercial use we urge you to call and discuss your situation with an agent to determine the right coverage for you. Sometimes all you need to do is have a business exposure added to your personal auto policy, but other times a commercial auto policy would be the best solution for certain situations.
